Plant for transmission assembly in India

Acoustical quality analysis in the production environment helps to detect faults on bearings, single gears, assembled transmissions and combustion engines. Other test objects include electric motors, steering assemblies and diverse rotating units.

More than 600 test systems from Discom are currently in operation world-wide. Main applications include the acoustical test of all kind of transmissions, gears, bearings and engines.

Acoustical analysis is performed on test benches that simulate the later operational conditions. Especially transmission analysis uses torque and speed conditions that are close to vehicle operations.

The measurement system can be integrated into a test stand's cabinet or mounted on a swivel arm. Under these conditions, the Rotas PC panel includes an uninterruptable power supply and and air condition unit. For the communication with a test stand there are several interfaces available. Data storage can be accomplished by a locally hosted database or on a server that combines the results of several test stands. Data analysis is then available on workstation PC's that connect to the plant network.
