Comparison of test bench and vehicle
No larger than a smartphone
The frontend is the size of a smartphone, is light, rugged, and very easy to transport. Up to 4 microphones can be connected to the frontend. The converted signals go directly to a tablet PC with Discom software via USB cable. Instead of individually positioned microphones, a headset can also be used with the microphones placed on the ears. This is ideal to measure what actually the driver hears.
4 A/D channels
The TASnano has 4 A/D channels and features the same capabilities as the larger TAS frontend including the sample rate of 200 kHz as well as an integrated ICP supply for the microphones. No separate power supply is needed – the TASnano is supplied by USB alone.

Applications
Verification of measurement results from the test bench and comparison with noises in the normal operation of a vehicle – for example for combustion engines, electric motors, eDrives, transmissions or actuators such as window lifters, electrically adjustable mirrors and windshield wipers, etc.
