Sensor for movable objects
Reliable testing of moving objects
The magnetic accelerometer MVS18 was developed for use on movable test objects. It can be used wherever automatic infeed of a BKS03/10 sensor is not possible. It can also be used for testing prototypes and small series. To do this the MVS18 is manually placed on a suitable magnetic surface of the test specimen. In the case of pure aluminium assemblies, the housing screws can be used for mounting.
Reliable contact with the test specimen
The sensor consists of an IEPE accelerometer with a magnet and a silicone element. The powerful neodymium magnet ensures reliable contacting with the test specimen. The silicone element enables protected cable routing while also serving as a handle for applying the sensor. The movements of the cable are simultaneously decoupled from the sensor. The electrical connection of the sensor is made by a coaxial plug that locks automatically and can be rotated.
Also suitable for poorly accessible places
Due to the lean design and because the sensor cable is routed inside the silicone element, the sensor can also be positioned in places that are difficult to reach.
Sensor is suitable for industry
The MVS18 also brings the typical advantages of a Discom sensor: The industrial-grade sensors are electrically insulated from the test specimen and have a wide temperature range.
Wide frequency range
Due to the low weight of the sensor, a wide frequency range of 14 kHz is still possible. Different magnets are also available to optimize the holding force of the sensor for the relevant test specimen. All of the components of the MVS18 can also be replaced individually.
