DRM58 – Discom Robust Microphone
The Discom Robust Microphone is designed to withstand harsh environments, offering shock protection and vibration decoupling. Designed for precise measurements in challenging environments, it incorporates a Brüel & Kjær’s type 4958 microphone. Protected against water, oil, and other liquids, as well as wind and physical impact, DRM58 is suitable for a wide range of applications. The Discom fixture features an M27 outer thread and an M8 inner thread, allowing for cable routing in either a sideways or axial orientation. The Microphone protector MP21 influences the signal mainly above 10 kHz. Resonances below 10 kHz can be attenuated by digital filters.
